I was giving a massage just the other day to a regular client who called me at the last minute for an appointment. When she arrived, she started crying. She said she was going through something and she might cry during the massage; she just wanted me to know.
I never asked anything, only if she was ok during the first 2-3 minutes of the session. She said she was ok.
She cried for the entire hour.
I never asked for specifics, I just provided the peaceful, safe place for her to just be.
Sometimes I forget that peace and quiet are part of the healing, not just touch!
